Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil May Not Remove It All - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Oil: Information technology's not just for deep frying and cars
I would honey to hug the genius/sadist who, ane fateful, oil-slicked day, threw that first potato into a vat of boiling oil. Buddy, I'd like to shake your greasy hand. 🙂
Mmm, chips…
But oil's non just for cars and deep frying. Companies have been pushing cleansing oils for years, and skin intendance lines like Shu Uemura and Decleor fifty-fifty sell them equally specialized makeup removers (on the premise that oil attracts oil).
Boscia has one, too. Their MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil will fix you back $26 for a 5-fl. oz. bottle. The preservative-gratuitous, non-comedogenic cleansing oil is made from eucalyptus, rose hip, dark-green tea, jojoba and gold palm oils (among other things; cheque out the full listing of ingredients in the lesser pic), and the company claims it's expert for all skin types and cruelty-free.
I'd been using it for nigh a week when it came time to pack for Hawaii. The question was: would information technology stay or would it go?
I decided to exit information technology at habitation. It simply didn't seem unique or hard plenty to supervene upon with any number of other non-foaming oil cleansers. Not that I think it's bad, because I don't. Non at all. I like how moisturizing it is and that information technology doesn't leave behind an oily balance, but my problem is that information technology merely doesn't remove my makeup very well.
Even with ii full pumps of product, information technology couldn't remove all of my confront makeup (my standard for pictures: foundation, pulverization, concealer, blush and primer). Information technology got about, just not all. I found myself having to bring out the large guns to stop the job — my tried-and-true PMS (Philosophy Purity Fabricated Elementary) for my face and Bliss Lid + Lash Launder for middle makeup.
I got a little concerned the one time I got MakeUp-Breakdown in my eyes. They clouded upwards, which, for the tape, I DID NOT Relish. Nope, I'g blind enough as it is.
Thankfully, my vision cleared up, and now I see MakeUp-Breakup for what it is: a somewhat uninspiring cruelty-free oil-based cleanser with a squeamish list of ingredients. Mayhap if information technology had delivered the cooling, refreshing sensation I expected it to from the product's proper noun, I would have brought information technology along for the ride.
Annotation: People with sensitive noses may like that it's unscented. There's a plus.
Note: If yous need a makeup remover to vanquish heavy duty stuff, you might check out Clinique Cleansing Balm.
PRICE: $26 for a 5-fl. oz. bottle
AVAILABILITY: At Sephora stores and also online.
